Neymar picks Man City over Real Madrid
PSG star Neymar has opened the door for a possible move to
Manchester City by admitting he would love to work with Pep Guardiola in
the future.
The Brazilian moved to PSG last
summer but appears unsettled in the French capital and has been linked
with a move to Real Madrid but has picked Guardiola’s City as where he
would love to play.
“I've always wanted to work with
Guardiola,” Neymar told ESPN Brazil. “He's different. I arrived in
Barcelona a year after he left. I really want to work with him.”
City are
closing in on a £75million deal for Leicester's Riyad Mahrez as they
prepare their squad to defend their league title in 2018-19.
Neymar
meanwhile is training with the Brazil squad ahead of the 2018 World Cup
as he battles to get back to full fitness for the tournament.
His
club PSG are reportedly concerned that Neymar is plotting his exit from
the Parc des Princes, with Real Madrid interested in his services.
Neymar
joined PSG from Barcelona in a world-record £198million deal last
summer but could be set to leave after a season marred by rumours of discontent in the French capital.
